Our house lies right at the alpine crossing Hochfügen that leads from the Tegernsee via Zillertal to Sterzing in South Tyrol. Those who have always wanted to cross the Alps by foot can embark on the fourth of the seven stages. The easy to moderate paths can be tackled easily and offer wonderful views of the mountain world.
Long distance hiking has become popular. Many hiking paths in Zillertal are suitable to discover this experience. During a long distance hike over blooming alpine meadows, passing streams and mountain lakes, you will get to know the region first-hand. Long distance hiking is not only hiking for advanced mountaineers. Optional one- and multi-day tours with many access possibilities make hiking a special pleasure also for beginners.

Hiking holidays have many facets. Those who want to hike around Fügenberg can also use the cable cars in Zillertal. Nine summer cable cars will take you to airy heights where you can either access the alpine crossing path Hochfügen, hike along the high altitude path or simply stop at one of the many alpine huts.
