Hochfügen in Zillertal lies in a high valley on 1,500 metres above sea level, surrounded by the mountains of the Tux Prealps. In the south, the summits of the Zillertal Alps rise into the sky, in the east the Kitzbühel Alps, all of them wonderful hiking and winter sports regions in Tyrol. A well-constructed mountain road of 13 km connects Hochfügen with the Zillertal.
The slopes and ski runs of Hochfügen can 100% be covered with artificial snow. Therefore, Hochfügen is known as one of the most snow-reliable ski regions in Zillertal. Only the Hintertux glacier has more snow.

Instead of taking the ski bus and queueing at the ticket counter, you can enjoy a comfortable breakfast a little bit longer or ski down the freshly prepared slopes as one of the first. Thanks to the connection to the ski region Hochzillertal, skiers and snowboarders can choose from a big and various selection of pistes, from easy blue ones to crispy black ones. In addition, winter sportsmen can look forward to ski routes and free ride possibilities. Off the pistes you will experience the winter magic on winter hiking paths, on a high altitude cross-country ski trail and on the floodlit natural tobogganing run ending in the Finsinggrund.
