Winter holidays in Hochfügen
Hochfügen in the Zillertal Valley is located in a high altitude valley at 1,500 metres above sea level, and surrounded by the mountains of the Tux Alps. The peaks of the Zillertal Valley Alps rise up to the south, to the east the Kitzbühel Alps; each a wonderful hiking and winter sport region in Tyrol. A 13 km, well-established mountain road connects Hochfügen with the Zillertal Valley.
Almost 100% of the pistes and ski-runs around Hochfügen can be covered by snow cannons, making Hochfügen one of the most snow-sure skiing regions in the Zillertal Valley. Only the Hintertux glacier has more snow!
Ski in – ski out, and everything at your front door
Your car also gets a break during your skiing holiday in Hochfügen: you’ll find everything you need for complete fun in the snow in and around the Hotel Lamark. Step out of the front door of the hotel and directly onto the piste; the ski school and ski kindergarten are right on hand. Lift pass, ski rental, ski courses – all available from our partner companies working directly out of our hotel.
Instead of taking a ski bus or queuing to buy lift passes, you have the choice of relaxing a little longer over breakfast and mentally preparing for the day, or nipping out earlier and being the first to enjoy the freshly prepared pistes. As we are directly connected to the entire Hochzillertal ski region, skiers and snowboarders have a huge choice of runs, from gentle blues, to tricky blacks, as well as a wonderful selection of routes for ski tourers and freeriders.
Away from the pistes, the magic of winter awaits those hiking along the snowy paths, gliding along the high-altitude cross-country tracks, or whizzing down the illuminated toboggan run in the Finsinggrund.
