Gault Millau Cook of the Year 2005

He has been awarded three toques and seventeen points. Gault Millau nominated him Cook of the Year 2005. Alexander Fankhauser, son of the owners of the Lamark hotel, is one of the great cooking geniuses.

Deeply rooted in his homeland and still inspired by international trends, he learned and perfected his trade in Great Britain, USA and Vienna.

After working with international top chefs he returned to his parent’s hotel in 1999 where he not only opened one of the highest situated gourmet restaurants in Austria, but where he has also become the rising star of the national gourmet scene through his cooking.

In 2005, at only 31 years, Alexander Fankhauser received the award ”Cook of the Year 2005“ by the Guide Gault Millau.
